Eyes sting
Ears ring
Black ravens sing
TEARS
Spirit ages
Face rages
Devil turns the pages
EMOTIONS
Soul urges
Heart purges
Ghost plays dirges
AGGRESSION
Mind thinks
Psyche blinks
Wise owl winks
REPRESSION
Body falls
Anger stalls
Rancid rat crawls
SOLITUDE
And eyes sting
And ears ring
And black ravens sing . . . again
Note: My fellow-blogger and friend, Tanya Cliff, penned another “vers l’avant,” the type of poetry read above, and inspired me to do the same. Thank you, Tanya! This was an invigorating challenge and fun!
I like this, Jonathan! It has a musical rhythm to it. Thanks for the mention.
Your welcome and thank you! 🙂
I thought I’d try something a bit new and have the first letter of each fundamental word spell out the title to the poem… Silly???
No, I liked it. It adds a graphic element and added to the pace of the piece.
Oh good! That’s a relief! 🙂
Phenomenal
Thank you very, very much!
My pleasure
This is good.
Thank you so much, Yassy!
Welcome dear poet.
