Fighting
Ghosts frightening
And haunting memories
Sending me again to my knees
Beckoning in prayer for heaven to care
While triumph in combat I seize
Sailing turbulent seas
Without drowning
Fighting
Thank you Tanya Cliff for introducing me to Rictameter verse! To learn more, see Rictameter Verse here.
Sounded like pirate of the Caribbean !!😀
Ha, ha! Yes!
You ain’t the gun toting. You, the pen toting. Lol
Ha, ha! Yes, I suppose that’s true! LOL Thank you, Yassy!
Welcome 🤓😊
Very good poem form. If I could write Cinquain, I could write Rictameter! Thank you, Jonathan.
Cinquain? Oh, I’ll have to look that up and try it, too! Yes, I certainly believe you could write in Rictameter verse… Do you think you’ll give it a try? I hope so. It’s fun and challenging. Blessings!
Yes, I will, Jonathan, later though. Cinquain is like half of Rictameter. It’s 2, 4, 6, 8, 2. The first 2 and the last 2 echos instead of identical. There are different kinds of Cinquain forms. I only did a couple.
Ah, thank you… I’ll have to give it a try! It’ll be fun, I’m sure. I love challenges like this
You’re so good at words. It would be easy for you!
Thank you! 🙂
You’re welcome, Jonathan!
Excellent, Jonathan! I love it. Thanks for the link back to mine. Many blessings!
Thank you so very much, Tanya! Blessings to you, too!
I read this, right after seeing a post on 9/11. That increased this verse’s power, ten fold. Live fully, without drowning.
Oh wow… Thank you so very much! Blessings to you
