High Into the Sky

You take me high into the sky
To say ‘goodbye’ to this world
In some timeless space in pace
With the wind round the bend
Of clouds in our proud defiance
Of reliance upon materialism
Of any kind now with my mind
Being freed to feed upon peace
Freely given by you to enliven
Along with your love above all
As I answer the call to sail high
And say ‘goodbye’ to the world
For some timeless time where
Clocks no longer chime in life
Lived now in serene eternity
Within the stream of dreams
Drinking the cream of heaven
With you as my only Beloved
As we fly high up into the sky
Oh so high up in the sky to fly

Step by Step: A Pilgrimage

Step by step, day by day he makes his way
And does not stay in one place as he paces
Forward along the path of life to his home
Far away yet so near and dear to his heart
And every part of his being is seeing home
That one day he’ll reach across the breach
Of time and space in a rhythm with chime
Of hopeful faith he carries along a journey
He began long ago when decided to forgo
All of the calls of this world and its glamor
And the clamor of earth, place of his birth
So . . .
Step by step, day by day he makes his way

A Different Journey

No more the same game played in vanity,
To expect some different result in insanity,
For we have now been freed from that need
And the nefarious seed that grows in the soul
Punching a hole in the heart and every part
Of our being, now seeing such better ways
On much brighter days in an array of love
From above that flows as freely
As the winds of the Spirit blow,
And we know that we’re better with a cross
Upon our back than a loss of life sensibility,
For we now have the ability to live our life
No longer so empty for we now have plenty
Of love, joy, peace and truth better than any
Of the scarred pennies the world has to offer
So . . .
No more the same game played in vanity,
To expect some different result in insanity . . .
We are on an authentically different journey!

Fly Me Away

Fly me through the sky to some faraway place today
And let the way be bright and clear and ever-so dear
And keep my heart near to your heart in every part
Of the journey and when we reach our destination
In manifestation of love and serendipity from above
Where the treasure is in the simple pleasure of life
And where the hole in my soul is filled with serenity
Far from the cacophony and disharmony of a world
Filled with much terror and anxiety and insane pain
And let me gain simplicity in complicity with peace
. . .
Yes, fly me faraway some way today to such a place
Where the pace is slow and I may behold your face
Ever and always, my Love

As Day Slips In . . .

SidlineAs day slips in with sunrise and clips the wings of night,
She brings me new hope with some few precious blessings;
Morning chants ease my heart pants, appease hungry soul,
And send me to my knees once more to adore holy Spirit
Of Life and Light and Love, giving flight to my inner-self;
Ah! Am I but a beginner, and young with high strung vision
Kept alive with dream precision and the provision of heaven;
And yet is there also a hole in my soul that cannot be filled,
And I am chilled in my heart, waiting for that absent part ~
Ultimate intimate lover of whom I am compliant suppliant ~
But the rays of sunlight so bright carry her not my way;
Still do I stay in acquiescence to obey the Spirit of Life;
Should I stray into earthly fray, turning day back to night?
No, not for fright of losing what has been given to enliven.

Worlds Clash, Collide and We Hope

Worlds clash, but we live in but one,
One upon which the sun rises and surprises
Us with the dawning of new day, to make
Our way, yet we are not here to stay…

In the other world there is but bright light,
No sun to rule the day; here there is no sight
Of angels, heavenly spirits that command
Adoration in sensation of awe and wonder…

But we do blunder through this world into
Which we’ve been hurled without rhyme
Or reason, ever out of season, though we
Be about our business, and shouts ascend.

Here we wait to begin again, because past
does not last, and the future is here
But not near, always out of reach to teach
Us patience; the present is all we have.

In the other we’ll not be bothered with
So many purses full of curses, and none
Of which we may rid ourselves in some bid
For better life; that will have to wait,
Yet we still take the bait of desperation
In impatient expectation that all will be
As it should be, for me, you, and you, too.

Numinous Mystery, Ancient of Ancients

mothergoddess[1]God is Mystery with eternal history, veiled behind numinous mist, of terrible holy consists ~
Ancient One, Birthgiver of the sun and moon, earth and stars, and all bizarre not soon, nor late ~
No date to give in timeless time, when chime of angels in rhythm and rhyme with climb of light,
Did sing to bring first dawn, birth of fawn what danced and pranced o’er hills with fill of joy,
With her Mother friend, and fiend hidden in cave to save his claim upon earth with ne’er any blame
For production of destruction planned in revenge since from heaven dispensed to elsewhere leaven his evil
In four and seven days ~ eleven ~ and he would fell the world, dæmonic high flag unfurled…
Thrones turned stone and dominions did groan; powers in towers shook and cowered in upsurge
Of rebellion of hellions and leagues of the Adversary, while the Crown of Celeste looked down
With frown of wrath, and chose the rugged path of redemption of creation in dark alienation.
And did we arise in Garden sublime, divine prize to hold while whisper-told to carefully care,
Avoid the Tempter’s snare, and happily work without shirk of duty so glorious, for humanity victorious?
But did we rise, too, in pride to take our stride with Enemy ~ mock beauty and alchemy finely dyed
In spirit blood red, lowered head and lulled to sleep in bed of living death and putrid breath?
Ah! We think we are so wise, and blink at the everlasting, shrink from sprits so bright and light,
While we boast of supremacy, toast our short legacy, and cloister the pollution of our evolution.
But God is Mystery with eternal history, veiled behind numinous mist, of terrible holy consists ~
Ancient One, Birthgiver of the sun and moon, earth and stars, and all bizarre … not easily impressed
By swine so finely dressed.

Carry Me Along Where I Belong

Winding-RiverThere is a place far away, so close, some say;
To there we fly, we know not where, high in the day
On wings of faith that sings hearts of gold, spirits bold,
To the kingdom within, without; hearing what we’ve been told.

Sweet Selene, holy Sister Irene,
Lift me up and carry me along where I belong.

What is this kingdom so enchanting, so illusive?
Surely not the same game played since sun first spun?
No, no, though he spoke under veil of parables ne’er conclusive,
Has not our trust been won ere since the first radiant paschal dawn?

Sweet Selene, holy Sister Irene,
Lift me up and carry me along where I belong.

Soft rolling hills of green, ever so serene,
And twisting silver streams that beam golden rays
Of happier days;
Flowers bloom with sweet perfume,
With myriad bees busy ‘neath new-ancient trees,
And blue skies above, soft clouds and gentle rains
That wash away all our pains.
Peace herein there is, enough to bring thanksgiving to her knees.

Sweet Selene, holy Sister Irene,
Lift me up and carry me along where I belong.
For there is a place far away, so close, some say,
And I’ll nestle rest in your bosom till the dawn of that day.
