I went to the sea to see what I could see
But I couldn’t quite grasp the symmetry
Of clear blue sky and the waves so high
Keeping cadence with your last goodbye
And the sigh I sighed with mournful cry
In vain to try to win you back before I die
But did you care at all that I could not see
In the sea what I came to see in you and me?
Ecstatic poetry and what an apt picture too, Jonathan. The sea that beckons one and all. Great poem
Oh, thank you so very much! Blessings to you!
Welcome Jonathan.
I love the image and the reflection and emotions in your poetry, Jonathan!
Oh thank you so much, Miriam! (Sorry so long in replying!!!!)
No worries, Jonathan!! I’ve been spending time with my granddaughter and have posted for a while anyway.
Love this. Very powerful!
